2017 UAE Ski & Snowboard Championship

For the first time in the UAE, ​under the patronage of Dubai Police, the Community Sport Initiative of H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum in association with the Dubai Sports Council, UAE Olympic Committee, and UAE Ice Sports Federation, Ski Dubai presents the 2017 UAE Ski and Snowboard Championship.

To be held at​ ​- SKI DUBAI, Mall of the Emirates on;

  • Friday 8th December 2017​ - ​Alpine Ski Championships Slalom and Giant Slalom
  • Saturday 9th December 2017 ​- ​Freestyle Ski and Snowboard Championships Slopestyle Ski, Slopestyle Snowboard, Big Air Ski and Big Air Snowboard

  • Entries are open to all participants
  • Deadline for entries is 5th December 2017 10pm
  • Entries are only available through ​a ​registration form which must be submitted and paid for upon acceptance at SKI DUBAI ski school chalet, no other forms of entry will be permitted.

​​Organisation

  • This event is being organised by Dubai Police and Ski Dubai.

​​All Racers

  • Must be entered into the race by completing the Entry Form and signing an Athlete’s Declaration.

Entry Fee

  • Entry fee for this event is AED250
  • Entry is only available via pre-registration form submitted and paid upon acceptance at SKI DUBAI ski school chalet, no other forms of entry will be permitted.

Race Office

  • The race office will be at the Ski School Chalet in Ski Dubai until 10pm on Tuesday 5th December.

Start Order

  • The start order will be available on the day of the event

Race Rules/Health and Safety

​The race will be run under FIS rules which all racers and coaches are encouraged to make themselves familiar with.

  • Ability: Participants must be at an advanced level able to make turns confidently and unassisted from the top of the black slope in order to take part in the event.
  • Registration will be in ski school and complete the registration form​.​
  • Price of competition for each day will be 250AED + 120AED – bib deposit and key card deposit. The price will include access to the slope during the time of the event, rental equipment and participation in the race. No registration will be approved without payment
  • The use of helmet is mandatory for the competitions in accordance with FIS competition rules​.​
